EASTER 2010 :: MAD TUK TUK CHALLENGE :: 700 GRUELLING KILOMETRES OF ROUGH ROADS, JUNGLES, POT-HOLES AND PADDY FIELDS...AND MaD ADVENTURES!
The Charity Rallies team is excited to bring you the latest and greatest adventure straight out of the Charity Rallies lab - the MaD Tuk Tuk Challenge! (madtuktuk.charityrallies.org).
After months of planning and poring over maps, speaking to people who have said "it can't be done" and speaking to more people who said "you're mad" the hour has finally come to lift the veil on the latest MaD Adventure!
This, Ladies and Gentleman (and worried mums) is the ultimate adventure on 3-wheels. An adventure guaranteed to shake you from your credit crunched winter. It will be just you, your co-driver and 700km of adventure on a Tuk-Tuk struggling to keep it all together as you are challenged beyond the limits...
It's all quite simple really!
Step 1: Decide to be MaD!
Step 2: Grab yourself a Cambodian Tuk Tuk, courtesy of our Cambodian NGO, MaD – Making a Difference for Good!
Step 3: Come up with the craziest designs you can to pimp up your Tuk Tuk, courtesy of our very own Cambodian Pimpchanics
Step 4: Get on board for the ride of your life! 700 kilometres of gruelling rough roads, jungles, pot-holes and paddy fields, and more MaD Adventures than you can shake a Tuk-Tuk at!
Go Help, the registered UK charity behind Charity Rallies has teamed up with "MaD – Making a Difference for Good!" in Cambodia to bring you the first Tuk Tuk challenge. MaD is a community based non profit organisation in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, doing some amazing work with Cambodian children, and in rural community development. You'll be raising money for MaD projects in Cambodia through Go Help, and will have the chance to visit the projects your money will be helping.
This is the very first MaD Tuk Tuk Challenge, so get in on the ground floor! Some veteran ralliers will be heading out to Cambodia to join our Cambodian team for the first ever MaD Tuk Tuk Challenge. There are only 8 spaces left for this first event (we've bagged the first few spots!). If you feel like living on the wild side and doing something that has never been done before, then sign-up now! The event kicks off on April 1st, 2010 but you'll need to be in Cambodia a few days before that to get squared away.
